Default deciding between 2 cages?

hello! i am planning on getting a handfed budgie. first one, and some time after i will add a companion because in 2 years i will start studying and would like for them to have each other as well as me.

in my country there isn't a big selection of cages. and i want to know will the cages i picked be OK? and which is better?

i made sure the bar spacing is less than 1/2 inch but am still worried that the A10 is too big? i dont want them to get hurt or stuck anywhere in it...

about the vision cage, i heared that the birds don't like eating at the bottom of the cage so i'm worried about that. also i know the height of it is a waste of space but honestly i want them to have the most space they can get

maybe can anyone reccomend me better cage options? and i will check if i have them in my country

honestly all the caged offered to budgies at the pet stores are way too small and it makes me so sad

another question would be if anyone knows websites that sell bird supplies, espicially toys, worldwide?

Hi nakochen!

Of the two cages linked, the A10 looks great! There's no such thing as "too big" for birds; as much space as possible is always better so they have plenty of space to play and spread their wings

As for bird toys, there should be several websites like amazon, etc. that ship to your country. Which country is it that you live in? This clarification will help for us to identify websites that ship there

hello! thank you for the help and quick reply!!

what i am worried about is not the cage's size, but the space which you can see in the video at the 1:20 mark. below ther cage's 'skirt'. i do not know if the cage has any other spaces like that, i will have to go see the cage at a pet store and check.

i live in israel

From my understanding, the cage comes with a grate that you put at the bottom so that the bird can't get out of that spot, but she didn't put it in for some reason. If you're worried, I definitely would go and try to see it at the pet store to make sure it's not a problem

I searched for bird toys on Israel google and this great store came up! You'll have to double check to make sure they ship to Israel, but it would be a great place to get bird toys from. They sell already made bird toys as well as lots and lots of "parts", so you could make your own!

Here are some links to the store:

Small Bird Toys
Wood Bird Toy Parts
Stainless Steel Hardware
Vegetable Tanned Leather for making your own bird toys
Natural and Shreddable Bird Toy Parts
Birdie Bagels

Perhaps some other members will have other resources for bird toys, too.

I'll put in a plug for the Vision cage because it is wider--almost 30". The cage portion of the other one is only 18". However, the one you linked to is for larger birds. The spacing between the wires is too large for budgies. You need the L02, which has smaller spacing. I have had the M02 and liked it, but members here have reported that the L02 is a little unwieldy in terms of removing the top piece for cleaning. I didn't have a problem with birds being willing to go to the bottom on the cage to eat--and it's a good way to get them moving around the whole cage. However, you could put "regular" cup feeders higher up if you wanted to.

Leah, I didn't realize the spacing in the cage linked was too large for budgies!

She is absolutely correct, it's very important to get a cage that has the spacing for budgies (1/2 an inch or less).

Does Amazon.com ship to Israel?

If so, I will provide you with some recommendations.

I highly recommend the Prevue Hendryx F040 and F050 cages. I have several of them myself!

Prevue Hendryx F040 Flight Cage

Prevue Hendryx F050 Flight Cage

If space is an issue, then the cage below is the very minimum size recommended for one or two budgies:
