Default Vision cage

Hi everyone!
I just purchased a large vision cage and was wondering if I can hang it from my ceiling? I plan on assembling the cage this weekend so I was wondering what I would need to do so.

Thanks
Kathy

It was not engineered to hang from its top, so I wouldn't do it unless Hagen said it was OK to. Also, for most part, it's difficult to hang a cage in a way that the budgies will feel safe. They generally like at least one wall, if not a corner, so that they don't feel too exposed.

Wouldn't that be too high? Also I agree with Leah, I'm pretty sure they'd feel unsafe in that position. Why do you want to hang the cage? Do you not have enough space?

I would never recommend trying to hang a cage from the ceiling.
Why not simply place the cage on a sturdy stand or shelf?

Thank you everyone. I was asking because I do not have a lot of room, and thought this might be a solution. I did not know that a hanging cage would upset them..thank you. I just ordered the Vision stand that fits this cage. It seems to fit the cage without added length, or bulkiness. I can't wait for it to arrive😊

I'm glad to hear you've ordered the stand -- well done!
We'd love to see a picture of your cage set-up once you have the stand in place and everything to your liking.

Best wishes!

That looks like a great setup and your little budgie pair seem to be quite content in their new house

Hi, Kathy --

The cage looks very nice.

I would suggest you add a couple of natural wood perches in varying diameters as well as a couple of swings.
Most budgies love swings and many love bells also!

You'll need to keep an eye on your budgies with regard to the mirrors.
Some budgie's become obsessed with their reflections so mirrors are not generally recommended for use in their cages.
If you notice one or both "feeding" the budgie in the mirror or hanging out by one of the mirror toys and ignoring the others, then I would suggest removing them.

This link will give you some good ideas with regard to perches and toys for your little ones:
