Hi Deborah, thanks so much for wanting to show me your birdies cages,
unfortunately I can only see the last two images though (awesome,
lots of toys and perches). I use imageBB to upload my images -
it says you moved or deleted your photos.

Sorry, Bee

PhotoBucket and I were not getting along too well yesterday.

I've updated the previous post so you can now see the pictures!

Hey Deborah, thanks so much for fixing up the pics for me -
your birds have so much to stimulate them in their cages which is great for them. Do they go towards the bottom of their cage much?
As I see most of their perches are towards the top &
middle. Also, you have so many feeder bowls in their
cages, like 6-7 per cage? Why is there so many?
(curious) also I love the first picture how Seffra or Samara sitting in their bowl. Does budgie boy have his own cage? And do you house females and males separate?
Again thanks for showing me

Pedro and Poppy’s Cage (Prevue Hendryx F040)
This is an old cage set up but shows where Pedro and Poppy have their out-of-cage time in my bathroom
As you can see from this older picture, things get moved around frequently

All seven of the budgie boys sleep in the big F050 together.
The smaller cage shown next to the F050 is just a cage they use as a play area.
One or more of them will go in it from time to time and they have perches etc. on the top of it.
The budgie boys are housed downstairs in my living room.

The budgie girls have their own cage upstairs in my bedroom.
Seffra and Samara are much quieter overall than my boys.

All the birds use their full cages.
They get their treats down at the bottom of the cage in a special dish on the clean newspaper after I clean the cages.
The budgies like to fly diagonally from bottom to top and top to bottom of the cages as well.

The lovebirds like running around on the bottom of their cages and hiding underneath the newspapers then popping up to play peek-a-boo!

Each cage has at least one dish for water (The budgie boys' cage has two water dishes because there are so many of them).
Each cage has a minimum of two dishes with pellets, one dish with dried herb salad & knotgrass and then there are separate dishes for their seed mix.

Here is Mink and Chip's cage. The towel is only there on top when the parrots are out.

I really love the size of this cage Julie, what is it called or where did you get it from? their set up looks great and I love the colour theme of the room. What are in the spray bottles?

Oh okay Julie that's awesomely organised. I remember reading somewhere that you only put their seed on the bottom of the cage so they forage, do you do that as well as have it in a cup now?

Actually it's Deborah and some others who put paper on th bottom to forage. I haven't done that, but I'll say it is an excellent idea for budgies.

Thanks Bee . To answer your other question, I got the cage from birdcages4less.com. currently they only ship to the US and Canada. But this same style (basic double flight cage) is available in other brands, some of which you might find in Australia . I have the same one for my Aussie grass keets also.

The spray bottles have a general poop dissolving cage cleaner, a multi-spectrum disinfectant, and water. The baskets have food, treats, and other supplies.

Hi again Julie, sorry again for the late reply I had been looking at a large cage more so of a taller shape similar to Deborah's that are shown (but not as large) but I had worried about when I need to separate them when they are in breeding condition, who gets what cage (who stays in the larger one that I buy/ would I be able to put their current cage beside the new one so they can be close?) So I think I would much prefer a double flight cage, it's kinda genius how you can separate it also. Do you know the dimensions of your flight cage (entirely) and of each one when it's divided? I found two double flight cages online, one on eBay but it's $300 and the other I found on another website was about $200 but it's currently out of stock. The taller ones I was looking at (similar to Deborah's) are about $150 on eBay.

Hi again Deborah, sorry for the late reply The love birds sound adorable playing around like that. I was wondering do you still have them forage for their seed on the bottom of their cage? (as I read in your reply that you have their seed mix in a bowl).

It's funny that you say your budgie girls are much quieter than your budgie boys, because Daisy is so much louder than Ollie! (Though I had read in the past that boys can be louder and sing/chirp more than the girls, myth, maybe)

I'm just indecisive about what cage to buy them in the future because I want something that I can easily separate them with when they're in breeding condition, or something to work around that.
