Cool Bettering my birdie's home

Hi everyone,

I plan on getting a new cage for my birdies- this is my current set up which sufficed for just Ollie, and Budd when it was his before him. The sizing is 60x40x40. I'm not sure if this is big enough for both my birds, but if it is, it's pushing it. I want them to have more space but it'll be about 2 months till I get a new cage. They have 6 different perches in their cage: 2 standard dowel perches, 1 natural perch I made from my old apple tree, 1 calcium perch, 1 natural hemp rope perch. Then, their natural wood swing.

I would love to see your budgie's cage set ups and/or play area to gush over them and also get ideas for Ollie & Daisy's future cage & play area.

Thanks everyone

Hi Katherine, thanks so much for showing me! I love it and he looks like he does too. I'm going to miss having a white cage, but the bigger ones i've seen are all black. What's that on top of his cage, a UV light?

It's good you are not using the UV light for more than 1-2 hours per day as that is the maximum recommended time.

For any members unfamiliar with Full-Spectrum Lighting for birds, please be sure you review the information in the article linked below:

Thanks! It's usually roughly an hour that I leave it on, sometimes a little less or a little more.

Would love to see your budgies cage set up, Deborah and thanks for that article I had read that previously.

As requested, here are pictures of their cages:

Seffra and Samara’s Cage (Prevue Hendryx F040)

Budgie Boys' Cage (Prevue Hendryx F050)

Peachy’s Cage (Prevue Hendryx F040)

Pedro and Poppy’s Cage (Prevue Hendryx F040)

This is an old cage set up but shows where Pedro and Poppy have their out-of-cage time in my bathroom.

As you can see from this older picture, things get moved around frequently
