Thumbs up Is this a good cage? + playstands

Hey! So I was really interested in this Prevue Flight Cage. I have been looking for a cage for a single budgie and I thought this one might do the trick. It looks like a very roomy cage according to the reviewer's pics on Amazon. Might as well check in with the experts!
https://www.amazon.com/Prevue-Pet-Pr...N5EATE2XGJ1969

Key (according to amazon):
Designed to house multiple parakeets, canaries or finch
Two large front doors for easy access to your bird
Plenty of room for your small birds to fly
2 plastic cups and 4 wood perches are included < Would use natural perches
26-inch long, 14-inch wide, 36-inch high with 1/2-inch wire spacing

Also, what are some good playstands for budgies? I have seen a lot but they all have bad reviews, like color poisoning, metal poison, or wobbly structure.
Anyways, it seems like a big cage for a good price. Thanks for your opinion!

At first it looks like a good cage, but 14 inches is a bit too narrow. Ideally you want something at least 18 x 18 x 18 inches for a single bird, but bigger is definitely better. And you can also try making your own play stand. I made one by removing the grate from my cage, then zip tying it to the top of my cage at the back, so it kinda of works as a wall ontop of my cage. Then I used some branches to keep it in place and this allows me to add perches and toys. Otherwise I'd say maybe check out some in pet stores and see how well built they are.

This is the cage I have, it's suitable for up to 2 budgies and I quite like it. It would be good for one budgie. The grate can be removed you just need some pliers to unbend the wire. and the gap between the tray and the cage is only half an inch so it's the same as the bar spacing and the birds can't escape.

Here is basically the same cage but in white.

If you want a larger cage you could look at something like this. I'm actually considering upgrading to this cage myself.

Here's a picture of my cage and playstand

Hope this helped!

Honestly, there aren't many great playstands that don't cost a fortune- it would be easier to make one yourself using perches or PVC. I agree with iHeartPieds, 14" is a bit too narrow, I would look for a slightly larger cage

If you have the room and can afford it, I would recommend getting a Prevue Hendryx F040 cage.

Prevue Hendryx F040 Flight Cage

The following two cages would also be good options:

HQ Flight Cage

McCage Flight Cage

If you are on a tight budget, then I'd recommend you opt for the 30" x 18" x 18" cage for now.

Prevue 30" x 18" x 18" Cage

Be sure you replace all wooden dowel perches with natural wood perches of varying diameters to prevent pressure sores.
