Default Need recommendation on safe cage cleaners

Hi Everybody!

I was wondering if someone could recommend good and safe cleaning products for my budgies' cage. I have had my budgies for about a week, and have been using Natural Chemistry Healthy Habitat. Is that one good enough? Also, what should I use to clean their food and water bowls? I just sanitize them with rubbing alcohol and rinse them a lot under hot running water just to make sure they are disinfected and rinsed of any alcohol. I'm a newbie so any advice is welcome!

Hi Alan,

Undiluted white vinegar is a safer option than rubbing alcohol and is non-toxic to budgies, so you don't have to worry about any residues after you clean their items

Pure white vinegar is what I always use.
You can also use F10 Veterinary Disinfectant
or
Grapefruit Seed Extract

Hi everybody!

I went to Albertsons today and bought some vinegar. I got the white distilled kind, but all they had was one that when I looked on the ingredients it said it was "White distilled vinegar (Diluted with water to 5% Acidity)" Is that one ok? If not then I am going to buy that grapefruit seed extract.
