Default Pike’s New Roost

Poor Pike has been through some tough housing changes in his life with us. When we first got him he was king of the castle in his own double flight cage. But when we downsized to a small house he had to move to a medium Vision cage. I’ve recently decided to add another budgie within a month or so, and as much as I loved the cleanliness of the Vision, it just didn’t seem big enough for 2. Here’s his new digs:

It may not be completely ideal with the extreme vertical, but it’s so much roomier than his old cage. I’m trying to stick with a natural look and still maintain the mess. (also I made that seed guard and I’m so freakin proud of myself hehe)

Looks amazing!

Just keep and eye on those loose fibers on the swing, he shouldn't be ingesting those as they can cause a crop impaction.

Very cute Courtney! The seed guard is a really nice touch, and you I did a great job on it!

If you’re planning on adding another budgie, you might want to rearrange the interior at that time, to discourage Pike from being too territorial.

Looks great!
