Default Return of the Budgie (cage help!)

Hi everyone!

Iím about to get a new budgie (or two!) after not having any for the past 5 years...
Problem is, Iím completely out of touch with cages now... I know the minimum dimensions etc, just not able to sort through makes!
I need a large door (limited mobility and fat arms!) and would like at least one, preferably two higher side doors (like the ones folks use to hang bird baths.)

I had this cage I loved, but it disappeared during a house move when I was without birds... And I canít find what it was now! Anyone recognise it? Or has something similar to suggest?

Here is a photo of it... Iím in the U.K.

Thanks!

I am not in the UK and I am not familiar with that cage but I love the picture you posted. If I looked at the cage by itself I would not think it was as large as it is.

Default My shortlist of cages

Ok, so these are the cages Iíve narrowed it down to right now... To house two budgies.

Reminder: Ideally would like a largish front door, and at least one (preferably two) higher up side doors (like the ones people attach baths or nesting boxes on.)

Would love to hear feedback, and especially would love comments (or photos!) from anyone that has owned one of these...

1) Waldorf top opening cage
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Little-Frie...gateway&sr=8-2

2) Savic primo 60 (normal or the higher open top one.) I REALLY LIKE THIS ONE. My only issue is the door size.

https://www.savic.be/products/primo-60-knock-down/

https://www.savic.be/products/primo-60-open-empire/

3) Imac Tasha (I like the divider, just in case I need to separate a bird temporarily... Like the side doors. Canít see the front doors -any experience?)

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Imac-Tasha/...srs=1736875031

4) Ferplast Piano 6 - Like this, but unsure about size of doors, and Iíve heard people complain about the feeders with Ferplast. How much of a problem are they?

https://www.zooplus.co.uk/customerpi...erplast/113666

5) Voltrega -most budget option, two different models, great size, canít find any good photos of doors etc.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Voltrega-00...GTHDKB4SFZN7W6

Or

Would love some feedback!

From one of the pages Deborah suggested to you above, this cage is a good one. If you can pay just a little more, this “flight cage” style will be well worth it in the long run.
https://www.thepetexpress.co.uk/bird...ght-bird-cage/

These Hagen Vision ones are good sturdy ones too. This one is a good size for two budgies.
https://www.thepetexpress.co.uk/bird...w38-1xh97-7cm/

Or this one. It’s nice to have the width.
https://www.thepetexpress.co.uk/bird...ge-80x50x70cm/

Whatever you choose, make sure the bar spacing is no wider than 1.27 cm (1/2 inch).

I had the feeling the Hagen Vision ones were a bit too narrow? (Good height and width, not enough depth.) Am I wrong?

Yes, it is a bit narrow. It can pass as being okay, but itís not the very best shape. I mentioned it because theyíre made well. But thereís no slide out tray, so you have to lift the cage off the base to clean, which is a bit different too.

I ended up ordering the Ferplast Piano 6, Zooplus had an awesome price for it, and it’s massive. I just hope the feeders are not that bad.
