Hello all, I'm a first time budgie owner in Texas. I saw a reputable breeder at a local flea market that my mother bought two budgies from when I was a child, and I thought "I've been wanting to bring home another animal, why not!" (In case you can't tell from my name, animals are a good PTSD treatment for me)
So I got a cage, a few toys and a swing, cuttle bone, all the other goodies I remember from my childhood. I let my girlfriend pick out these two adorable little 4 month old cuties...
Anywho, I just wanted to stop in and introduce myself and our two new family additions. I also wanted to do some research on taming and ask a few questions so I have a complete knowledge necessary for the task of keeping them happy. Here's a pic. As they get more tame I'll post more.

Thanks a ton! I'm looking forward to doing some reading. I'll put some better pictures up tomorrow. Peregrine is a little more willing to come out of the cage than his little mate so you will probably see more of him (we've only had them a couple days anyway.)
