Thanks so much for your reply.

Hi and thanks for the welcome. So far, I just wish I knew if it was a boy or girl and about her preening. My little budge seems to preen herself a lot and just curious if that is normal budgie behavior. Any advice on how to introduce my dog to my keet? That's another challenge I will be facing soon. Thanks for responding to the post and have a great day.

Hi! to Talk Budgies

You should not be considering introducing your dog to your budgie. Your budgie should be kept in a room where the dog is never given access. My dogs are never allowed into the rooms where my birds are housed.
Please read the information linked below:

Dogs and Cats are Predators - Birds are Prey

Please take the time to read through the Site Guidelines, all of the How To Guides, the FAQs, the Budgie Articles and the stickies located at the top of each section of the forum.

Truly, the very BEST advice anyone can offer you is to take the time to read ALL of the stickies throughout the various Talk Budgie forums as well as the Budgie Articles we have posted.

These are great resources for Talk Budgie members and have a wealth of reliable information which will assist you to learn the best practices in caring for your budgies for their optimal health and well-being.
