Hi everyone!
I was a Christmas present this week. I am a sweetie, and after my first day home, I climbed on my mommas finger! She works full time, but is very interactive with me.
Right now I am in a small cage as it was also a present, but momma is in the process of buying a flight cage so I can spread my wings!
My mom and her friend did extensive research before getting me, which I thought was diligent on their part.
I just wanted to say hello and will get a photo posted soon, so maybe you all can help me decide how old I am.

Happy New Year and welcome to you and your mum Tara. It's great to hear that she did a lot of research beforehand - usually when budgies are gifted as presents there isn't much in the way of previous research.

Please tell your Mom to get you the largest cage possible. Width is more important that height.
The Prevue Hendryx F040 and F050 are great cages.

When you upload pictures as attachments directly from your computer, tablet or phone, the forum automatically defaults to landscape. Additionally, the picture appears as what we term a “thumbnail” attachment.
To upload full-sized pictures with the proper orientation, please use a photo-sharing service such as Imgur and follow the steps in these instructions: How to Post Full Size Pictures from a Photo Sharing Site

I got Ringo a flight cage! Hes very very happy in it, and can stretch his wings and try to fly around, but he will just make like he is flying and has those wings going a mile a minute. He seems content. He is chirping and singing and babbling. it took him a few weeks, but I think he is slowly coming around.. Not really.. he still runs away when I put my hands in the cage. I dont try to grab him though. I am giving him time and space but I do talk to him a lot and play mexican music for him when I am at work. Why Mexican you ask? Because he likes it!!! hahah. He also llkes Stings voice on Enigma radio... lol.... so thats my update for now.
OH, and I am seriously considering getting him a buddy. I have heard so much about them being social and living in packs. But I dont want to have any set back with how far he has come by himself.
