Default LOST Budgie, Three Crosses, Swansea, UK

I am writing here in a last ditch attempt to find my beloved 5 yr old White Budgie. She escaped in panic on 8/4/15, after the table that she was on collapsed and her cage broke open. She flew out my door in Three Crosses, Swansea, United Kingdom. There was a relatively strong south-westerly wind, and I didn't think to search wider into neighbouring villages. I've spent 4 days looking for her, whistling desperately. I am praying to God that someone has seen her and has had the sense to try and catch her. This is my 5th Budgie and I've never had one escape. She was such a lovely bird who was naturally very wary, and I feel that I have let her down.

I'm so sorry to hear that your budgie has escaped... Have you put up flyers and visited animal shelters around your area?
I truly hope your budgie girl has a safe return back to you.
And even if you are not reunited with her, there is the possibility of someone having rescued her and given her a new home.
Over the years, I have taken in many rescued stray pet birds found in my area and I have kept some that weren't claimed. I currently have two in my flock.

I'm praying you will get your girl back and try not to blame yourself, accidents do happen, unfortunately.

How long has she been missing for? According to my vet, budgies can only fly within a few mile radius the first week. I'm so sorry this happened to you. Good luck.

I'm so sorry to hear that you both have been separated. I can imagine the ordeal that you must be going through. I hope she landed at someone's door or someone rescues her. But there are little chances of survival of budgies in the wild. I pray of her safe return to you.
Good Luck.

Thank you all for your kind words & positive messages. It's now a week on & I have posted virtual and real notices everywhere, contacted the RSPCA & vets. Sadly, my baby has gone. ? I got really angry when 3 days later I heard that someone had seen her in their garden in a neighbouring village, (the south westerlies blew her further than I expected), on the evening of the day she went missing, but hadn't tried to capture her. ? I have come across many people who look at you like you are crazy & often people make a totally inappropriate joke like "I have a cat who could find it!" Seeing you comments here give me faith that there are similar minded people out there. Thanks for taking the time to post. I hope that this grief gets easier with time. Every day I miss her, capturing myself whistling / calling to her & looking up to expect to see her in her cage. ?
