Default Maxine

About two days ago, my little Maxine got very scared for some odd reason when I put my hand in her cage to change her water. She flew straight out and through a whole in the screen door.. I have not seen her since.. but yesterday... I discovered a budgie in my backyard!.. it is also a female but she seems she might be young. She has a pink blue and white cere, maybe just about to turn 1. I have been asking people around the neighborhood if they are missing a budgie because her wings are semi clipped. As in they are growing back. I hope I can find her owner, and I hope my Maxine comes back home, I really miss her Maxine is on the antlers, I will soon put a picture of the new budgie, who named Annie.

I'm so sorry your Maxine has escaped...
You can put up some fliers on your neighbourhood and the nearest pet shops/vets as well as contact the local animal shelters that take in pet birds.
Advertising on social media websites will also be a good idea.

You can do the same for the budgie you have found in hopes of locating her owners.

Best of luck with everything! I'm praying your Maxine is safe, well and will soon be reunited with you.

Aluz has offered you great advice. I hope you are able to find Annie's owner and get Maxine back home.

What even more sad now it my little Izzy somehow got out of her cage. Her wings were not clipped. I put them outside on my fence everyday so they can get some breeze and sunlight, she some how managed to open one of the sliding door cages and flew out, my little Dave did not go though.. it's just so devastating that this has happen, I hope Izzy and Maxine find each other out there and take care of each other The blue grey wing is Izzy..

I would take a good look at your cage and find where there are any gaps or doors they can lift up themselves and get those fixed before you take that cage outside again.
Also if you are going to put the cage outside, you really need to stay with them. I'm assuming if you were out with them, you were doing something else or you would have seen how she escaped.

I'm not trying to sound careless, but you have now lost two birds and I don't want you to lose another. please don't take them back outside unless you can find out how Izzy escaped her cage.

I agree with Therm. Now that you have lost two of your budgies, I would take a serious look at their cage and your home. First, I would obviously repair the hole in the screen door. Find out how Izzy could have escaped the cage. Find other potential escape areas in your house (open windows, etc.) and resolve those issues.
I'm praying that your little ones find their way back to you, but I seriously think you should do a thorough investigation of your home to ensure that it is safe for your birds. Never leave your birds outside unattended. Best of luck!
Note: I'm not trying to sound rude, just trying to help

Have you posted any information about 'Annie' the stray bird you found?

This my come across harsh and it isn't meant to be.
We all love birds and do our best for them.
Sometimes, the best thing we can do for them is admit, we need some help.
'Annie' is not our pet bird.
You have lost two birds in your care in less than a week.
'Annie' deserves a chance to be reunited with her family.
I believe it would be in her best interest for you to take her to a shelter or a vets office and explain you have found her and can not keep her and see if anyone claims her.
I know that this is what you would want if anyone found your birds, for them to have a chance to be reunited with you.

As Morgan stated you need to address the issues in your home as you are currently not providing a safe or adequate home for your birds.

If you can not provide a home where they are not safe in their cage or where they can not come out of their cages and fly safely, then you might want to consider giving your pet birds up.
It will be easier to give these animals to loving homes rather than watch lose them.

Please consider this option, especially if you are unable to get a cage for them that will keep them safe.

This is extremely distressing.

Anyone who is experienced with budgies should know a budgies' cage should never be left outdoors unattended and all doors on the cage should always be safely secured with locks or clips when the cage is taken outdoors.

If birds are allowed out-of-cage time inside the home, then all windows should be closed prior to that happening so there is no escaping through a hole in a screen.

With regard to Annie, the budgie you rescued, she should be quarantined away from your other budgies.
I hope you are taking the appropriate steps to find her owner.
I agree with Therm that it would be best for you take Annie to a vet or a shelter rather than keeping her.

Good luck in recovering Maxine and Izzy.
