Default Found white budgie

Washington State, Snohomish county
Found white budgie, blue leg band. It is all white, potentially albino.

My aunt found a budgie on her porch today. I haven't seen it in person so I don't know the gender or health, but it was definitely a pet as it has a leg band.
We are unable to read the numbers.
Sorry if the photos don't work. I am on my phone.

I will keep you updated, but for the meantime, spread the word!

What an adorable little fellow!

I hope you're able to help him find his family! If not, is your aunt thinking of keeping him?

She absolutely hates the bird already because of it's singing. She has 3 large dogs and 2 young kids, so I don't think the bird would be safe there. I would love to take it but I just can't see myself having 4 birds
I'm hoping to find the owner soon. I'm going to put up flyers around town.
I don't think he's albino, his cere is very blue. He has a few of his baby bars.

Sky blue greywing combination pied, then

Ah, yes, it doesn't sound like your aunt would like to keep him, understandably.

Keep us posted with how the search for his home goes!

What information should I put on flyers? I have a photo, date and area we found him and my phone number.
I plan to put them up at my college and at local vets and shelters.

I think it's typical to "retain" some pertinent fact so that not just anybody can claim the bird. For example, don't use a picture that shows that he's banded. Be sure to post something on other websites, as well. Such as craigs list and Washington State (If you do a search for "WA lost bird" you'll find a slew of options)

It's an adorable little budgie and would probably be better off with you (rather than your aunt) until it's owner is found.

lbeckman is correct. You don't want to put the photo on the flyer.
It's best to simply say - Found budgie with the date and location.
Make anyone who calls about the bird provide the description to you.
Otherwise, anyone could say it is their and claim it.

If you are unable to find the owner after contacting local shelters, vets and posting on various social media sites, then I would either try to rehome the little one to a safe and loving home or take it to a bird-rescue so they can do so.

Smile Found

PM one of the breeders here and check the info on the band it may give a clue.
a grey wing is a unique enough mutation to call attention, Regular show budgies must have a band to be shown It may have breeders initial Like JCB , date hatched like 16 for 2016, # of bird hatched by breeder this year like #30 and it could have ABS or BAA for the 2 recognized national organization. The band color may also indicate the year banded. BAA uses the international band color but ABS does not. Praying for a safe return or a new forever home.
Thank you for taking him in off the street.
Blessings, Jo Ann

Thanks everyone.
If we are unable to find his home, I really would like to take him since in a few weeks Stormy will be leaving so I won't have so many. Three birds is the maximum for me, I think

I'm putting up flyers after my classes today. Fingers crossed we find his family!

Since you're in the US, I would definitely place a Craigslist ad. I know for sure that it is one of the first places people will go on the internet in search of their lost bird. There is also 911 Parrot Alert, Facebook.. I think 'if' someone is looking for this little one, most likely they will search the internet instead of by chance seeing a flyer in the right vicinity. I'm not saying don't post flyers as well. As was mentioned, let the caller describe the bird to you. It is an unusual enough color pattern that no one will guess. I've heard of numerous cases unfortunately, where people will try to score a free pet by posing as the owner by going off clues in an ad. Good luck Morgan!
