Hard to believe, but I was so excited last night, I had trouble sleeping
I am older than most people here (except maybe Cliff
) and you would think I could handle these honors in a cool, calm and collected way. Guess again...
I want to tell you a little about myself. My user name ronsig is the first 3 letters of my husband's name, combined with the first three letters of my own name.
English is not my first language
I have learned a lot on this site and continue to learn. For example, in the past, we always just put a new budgie in with the others. We had no idea that a quarantine was necessary
Like so many of us, I am also still trying to find ways how to get my budgies to eat fruits and vegetables.
My passion goes to budgies that are rescued. Usually, they are older and have "issues". People love to adopt these budgies, but they have to know how to tame them. That's why the "Training and Bonding" section is so important to me. The stickies in that section are outstandig!
I find clickertraining works for me, and I try to share that with others. I am just learning myself and will continue to do so for a long time!
I truly appreciated this site when my beloved Schnappi died last October. Nobody understands the grief better than other budgie owners. The support I got made me feel a lot less alone.
I feel almost bad for leaving for a vacation this July, when I am the member of the month. But it is true, we will leave for Germany tomorrow for 4 weeks. But I will try to find a computer to log on and see what everybody has been up to. I am as addicted to Talkbudgie as most of you.
Happy Canada Day (today) and Happy Independence Day!
Everybody: Have a great Summer!
