To my beloved budgies, now over the Rainbow Bridge:
Ember, you were my first budgie. I learned a lot from you. Do you remember how I would draw pictures of you while repeating words over and over in the hopes that you would talk? You never did talk, but you did "step up" and I was heartbroken when you passed away too early.
Cricket, Skylar really misses you. You were the sweetest bonded pair. I loved hearing you trying to sing along to the radio. I cherish the time I had with you.
Toby, such a brief but bright-burning life you had. You were so spunky, the boss in our relationship. I am so sad you are gone, but I know I made the right choice to release you from your pain.
3 budgies of mine, I will never forget you. You brought something special to my life and no other bird could replace any of you. You have also taught me so much about what wonderful birds budgies are, and I am a better owner because of you.
Please see my tears, and look down upon me with loving encouragement as I move forward.
Cosette, I am so sorry for your loss and your pain.
Budgies crawl deep into our hearts, and we can
never stop loving them, can we. Their strong little
spirits and charming ways are always going to be
with us. Keep thinking of the happy times with them,
and cherish what you shared.
I hope someone who loves as deeply as you do will think
of loving another budgie one day. There are not enough
good homes for them out there, and I think it would be a
true loss to let a home as loving and caring as yours stand
empty. Perhaps you could honor your babies by passing
on to the next little one all they have taught you and all
you have shared.
And welcome to Talk Budgies, where we all understand
how much your heart hurts.
