Default Fly free Dad-Keet

I found my little man dead after I came home from dinner with my parents. I just hope he wasn't in a lot of pain. I know I shouldn't think it, but it feels like its kind of my fault. I stopped handfeeding him, because it stresses him out so much. Besides, he was eating a bit better. He helped give me my pride and joy, Pup, and he will always be in my heart. I don't know how old he was, but I estimate around six or so.

It has been a rough day for me. I found one of my hen finches dead prior to going out for dinner, and then him.

Awww I'm so sorry. You poor thing, what a terrible day! Are you going to get them tested to see what they died of? It could help make sure it isn't something that could affect the others. God I hope not!!

Take care of yourself and your poor broken heart.

Oh my, I am so sorry. You have had a very rough day. I am sure both are now free from any encumbrances, and will be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge. I know you were posting about making a difficult decision about Dad Keet, and maybe he was making that decision for you. I'm sure he knew how much you cared for him. My deepest condolences. Be good to yourself!

I'm not going to get him tested, since I'm almost positive I know what it was. I'm not sure though on my finch. She just sort of suddenly died. I noticed something wasn't right, but chalked it up to her not having a bath lately, and she was having a ton of nightfrights.

I'm so sorry to hear about Dad-Keet and little Finch. How awful

If that was me i would get them tested just to be sure its not something that will affect your flock.

Try not to be so hard on yourself tho, sometimes these things happen

RIP Dad-Keet and Finch
