Default My budgie died last night

My budgie Charlie died last night. my mum was giving him some more food, she went away to wash his water container and left the cage open. he flew out and my cat attacked him I could of saved him if i was in the living room or if i hadn't of let my cat inside 5 minutes earlier. 10minutes later we had my uncle from Australia visit us by surprise , he could also of been saved if he had came earlier I have had my cat and my budgie for 5 years and nothing has ever happened like that.
he used to sit on my shoulder while i was watching tv he sat on top of my computer monitor when playing computer games my room was his jungle. I don't think i will ever forgive my cat for what he did

I am so sorry to hear about your little sweety and this very unfortunate accident. I can't imagine how horrible it must feel. Please know that you've got lots of support from members here.

My thoughts are with you and may Charlie fly high with all of our sweeties whom we have lost....

Oh...that's sad. I'm sorry it happen to you. Yet another reminder of how careful one has to be with other pets. They can be unpredictable... Just one second is all it takes. I am really sorry about your budgie. With that said, it is imporatant to remember that a cat's instict is to hunt. It is not her/his fault- it's an instict. I had a cat that was best friends with my budgie and the budgie would ride around all day on the cat, they even took naps like that...BUT- that's not common. Please don't blame your cat. She's just a cat.
May your budgie rest in peace.

Don't forget to forgive your mother as well. So sorry to hear. But don't beat yourself up with should have, could have, would haves. It is tempting when things are so close together in time.

Oh, poor Charlie.. I am so sorry... Sometimes life's cruel (most of time maybe?..) and show us that everything is a chain of coincidences..
RIP Charlie, may you fly free and happy..

So very sorry to hear about Charlie. Like has been said already, it's a cat's instinct to hunt and it is so very easy to look back and say...if only I had done this, or done that. It was a tragic accident and no-one is to blame. Fly free little Charlie, he knows he was loved.

I am so sorry to hear this It's horrible. It's such an overwhelming feeling, knowing that things could have prevented this and we just think it over and over again. I want you to know that it is not your fault.

Hold your head up, I know that Charlie wants you to.

Rest in Peace Charlie<3
