Woke up this morning to find our great little guy Wings asleep in his home, not to be woken.
I am not sure what happened, we found him last night and he has the runs on his bottom and seed all over his mouth. We cleaned him up and were hoping for the best this morning, but it was not to be.
He was only about 6 months old
He was the best little bird, so very gentle with our kids and loved a chirp. We will miss your songs during dinner time little mate.
Im so sorry i cried when i read your post poor little budgie 6 months seem so young. Wings is at peace now. You must be devastated he was so young and really unexpected. Please accept our deepest Sympathies. Hear is a beautiful pome for you.
Crossing Over the Rainbow Bridge
Crossing over the Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of Heaven is a place called the Rainbow Bridge.
It is a comforting thought when a pet dies, to know that they are finally pain free, happy, and cared for.
I know you feel blessed that you had the time you did with your wonderful pet.
Read this poem and the heartfelt stories of beloved pets now gone, but not forgotten.
I invite you to share your own story at the bottom of this page.
The Rainbow Bridge Poem
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old, are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt, or maimed are made whole and strong again. Just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing. They each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together...but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers.
Suddenly...he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster, and faster.
You have been spotted.
When you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.
The happy kisses rain upon your face. Your hands again caress the beloved head. You look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
