I'm sorry for your loss. All you can really do is learn from your mistake and try not to make the same one again. Always remember that a baby is far better off with the mom until it is the right time to take them away.

I am so sorry for your loss. They tell me that hearing is the last thing to stay after they have gone the same for a human. Im sure that your budgie Grap had heard you. It is better for a young budgie to stay with his mum until the time is right. The pain is hard im sorry you are feeling bad. Now you can learn from your mistake and try not to make the same mistake twice. But as i said your little Grap would of heard you as the hearing is the last thing that stays after any amimal or anyone dies. Your Budgie would of heard you say sorry. Sometimes it is good to cry it helps to let it all out. I no you hurt at the moment but it will get better in time and you will learn from your mistake . Everyone makes mistakes and everyone is not perfect. Plus everyone learns from mistakes to.My Deepest Sympathies to you at this sad time.

I'm so sorry for your loss... I agree with Amber, you learn from your mistakes and really have to do the best for the budgie and the best was really to leave Garp with the parents till the right time came.
I have 3 chicks at the moment, 2 of them are 4 weeks old and they still haven't left the nest and are being fed by their parents. I take them out for like 15 minutes a few times per day, when the parents are on a break. And my chicks are tamed and already come to me willingly. In my opinion, if the parents are good, the chicks should be raised by them and have human interaction from an early age, that way they have the best of both worlds and are happy and balanced birds.
You have my deepest sympathies
Rest in peace, baby Garp.

Garp is in a better place and he hears you, he hears your pain and loves you. He wouldn't want you to suffer with guilt like that. It was a mistake, but you learned not to do that again.
Please forgive yourself and move on. That is the only way you can improve yourself next time. Garp still loves you.

Dear Garp will always love you because he knows you love him and could hear your pain.
Actually this statement from Lynbuster helps me because I cried and howled when Biggles died and at least he will have realised how upset and sorry I was.

Hey, it'll be okay. It was just a mistake, that's all. Garp knows you didn't mean to and that you loved him very much. Rest in peace little guy.

Rest in peace Garp. You know what you need to do. Patience can be hard but they are small, vulnerable animals and we have to learn to get to know them on their terms. That is ultimately what love is about. Good luck to you and don't be too hard on yourself, instead put the effort into not making the same mistake again.
