Unhappy Twinkle's gone

I am so sad right now, we have lost our very first budgie Twinkle and I am feeling so guilty right now, everyday I bring her outside in a smaller cage then the one she is in and we sit outside and enjoy our time in the nice weather she loves to sit outside and chatter to all the birds, she is always supervised and has never attempted to get out, hubby was outside doing his crossword puzzle with her and had to run in for a few minutes and thats all it took she managed to get the seed dish out and some how escaped I am feeling so bad because I had tested it from the inside of the cage and when the dish comes out it closes and you can't get out the door usually I don't even have them in to be on the safe side but because it was him out there with her he never even thought to remove them, he has been outside wandering all over trying to find her (bless him) even being late for work but there is no sight of her everyone around her knows about our budgies so there on the lookout but I am not holding out much hope there are so many tall tree's around here she could have gone anywhere my only hope is even if we don't get her back someone will find her and take her in.
It seems so quiet already and I miss her she was a big loud mouth for such a little thing she was never really tame always tried to bite me was always picking on the other budgies but she was my favourite she would sit with me for hours and listen to music for a girl she sure loved to sing and she loved when i sang to her, my kids thought I had lost my mind singing to a budgie but I know how she loved it.
I have put her big cage out and food, hopefully she will make her way home but I know the odds aren't good, I have tossed the other cage in the garage I will never trust it again.

thanks everyone no news yet still searching, but I don't think we are going to have any luck, I only hope that someone will find her and love her as much as I did .......laura
Babyluv yes she was flighted so there is that issue again to clip or not I don't blame the fact that she was flighted I blame myself for not being as careful as I should hard lesson to learn although I don't know what I could have done differently other then not use that stupid cage in the first place won't make that mistake again.

No Laura, I never asked it meaning anything. It's not your fault, and it's not your hubby's! I had a cage with those doors before and was always having to watch them. Everything happens for a reason. Don't stress yourself ok? Please?

Babyluv I know you didn't mean anything by it I didn't take it that way, you have always been nice to me and answered my silly questions maybe I didn't come off right sorry about that I was just feeling bad. I am just glad I have somewhere to go and express myself about this, some people around me think its crazy to get so attached to a "bird" when you can just replace it there not much money, they just don't get the joy these little things can bring to one's life I feel sad for them. I have had many animals in my life from childhood on and yes quite a few have died from old age and sickness but I have never "lost" one in all my years so thats why I am feeling so guilty .....laura
