Havnt been on here in a while and it's sad this is the reason.-imageuploadedbytapatalk1370397547.914154.jpg It has been awhile since I've been on here and regretfully it is to announce that Nano is no longer with us. My step daughter tripped and accidentally bumped the cage he freaked and well he's no longer with us now. Sky is going crazy now as him and nano were inseparable I don't know what to do.

I am so sorry for your loss.
Unfortunately, accidents will happen.
I would start looking for a new partner for Sky. Budgies are flock birds and they will accept new partners. I had budgies go into a depression when their partner died. But when they got a new feathered friend, they recovered.

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear of this tragic event... You have my deepest sympathies. I hope Sky will feel better and I also think it's best to find a friend for him.
Rest in peace, little Nano.

Oh poor Sky, I think you need to get another bird to help the situation settle. These type of accidents are so hard to accept by all involved hope you are all feeling better soon .

What's the best way to go about introducing a new bird? Sky and nano were very close I don't know how sky would react to a new one.

Usually, budgies accept new partners without problems. If Sky is a girl, you should get a male. Two girls can be problematic. 2 males are no problem.
The new bird needs his own cage and live in a separate room for 4 weeks (quarantine)
Then you put the cages side by side for a while so they can see each other.
Then you open Sky's cage so he can look at the newcomer. Then you let both have out of cage time together.
It is normal for the females to be somewhat bossy. The males accept that.
