Various fruit and veg and Trill seed. I can't seem to find the pellets people seem to talk about, do you think the seed killed him then?

I am deeply sorry about sky.. I hope the other one is ok, but maybe you should take a visit to the vet, just to be sure about his health. Please keep us updated.

I am so very sorry to hear about your little sweety. It sounds like he would not have made it even if you were able to get to the vet sooner. It just happened too quickly.

There is really no way to know how he died other than to get a necropsy done. Because there are so many potential causes, it would be impossible to speculate.

I'm so sorry about Sky - at least you can say that he didn't suffer for long. RIP little Sky!

oh no. Rest in peace Sky! You were loved!

I'ld watch Speed to make sure he isn't sick. He doesn't sound sick but they are very good at hiding illness like Cliff said.

Seed mostly makes birds overweight, (I think I heard something about fatty tumors but I don't know...) If a bird is overweight it could die from the same things a person could like heart attacks.

Like Budgiekin said, you would need to have a neocropsy done to be sure.

I would worry about hand rearing the new birdie, inexperienced handfeeders could ally kill the little bub.

I was worried about Speed last night when it came to bedtime, usually Sky snuggled up to Speed but he didn't have that. He seemed fine though but yeah i will be keeping an eye on him. I'm hoping to take Speed to the vet soon but my dad has gone back to work so we'll have to work something out.

As for the hand rearing, My Nan will probably show me what to do, she's been doing it for a while now.

Ok, as long as someone experienced shows you how it should be fine.

Taking him to the vet is a good idea. Its not worth taking any risks.

So sorry about your loss of Sky. I hope Speed is okay. Speed should have a friend. I always believe in having at least two birds or more. Good luck with speed.
