Default any ideas on this please

Hi

I have recently bread my budgies for the first time.. I got one beautiful baby from them and it was healthy and strong .. I made sure that it was feeding and drinking then put it in a cage of his own as the mother has started a new clutch and the baby broke the first 2 eggs.. after seeing the baby was fine on his own I gave him to his new owners ( my parents ) he was very friendly .. had picked up a wolf wistle already hes only 7 weeks old .. he spent most of his time out of the cage sat on my dads shoulder even tho he was so young

Then tonight I got a phone call off my mam saying there was something wrong with the budgie he was just sat on the bottom of the cage .. by the time I got there the baby had died

My mam said he had been out of the cage as usual .. they put him back in while they made tea .. ate .. then went back to see him at which point he started making loud sqorking noises this is when he went to the bottom of the cage .. he then got back on the perch and went floppy on one side .. my dad took hold of him to try and calm him down and the baby passed in his hands

I have read that they are known for heart attacks and strokes but this cant be the case at 7 weeks surely ?

Any advice is greatly appreciated

Thanks

Gary

OH how sad and very traumatic for your poor parents. I am afraid you will never find out why all you can do is hold his memory and keep him in your heart. Fly high little one.

How terrible. I am so very sorry for your loss.. This is very Traumatic for you and your Parents and yes Budgies are like Humans they can have a heart attacks and Strokes and they can also get Cancer to. My budgie died of Cancer Squamous Cell Cancer in Dec 2011. My first budgie Bluey he had a Stroke and was only 4 months old.. It is not your fault this sometimes happens you were doing all of the right things.. Your budgie loved you all and now you have loving memories of him. I hope when you are felling better that you will try again to love another budgie there are a lot of young budgies needing a loving home.

How shocking, I'm so sorry for your loss... Unfortunately, these things happen when we least expect sometimes.
Rest in peace, little one.
