I have yet to truly feel the pain of my loss, especially because I prayed so many times to God to take him into heaven if he's experiencing pain...
This is so hard...
I became a family member at Talk Budgies because of Banana... and now he's gone...
The $1,500 that I spent out of pocket for Banana a month ago is one of the best decisions I have ever made... The avian vet did everything they could but unfortunately, a most likely cancerous abdominal tumor was no match for medicine...
Sorry for such a short post but I just don't quite have the words yet...
I just came back on here after a few years, and you are one of the people I first remember on here. And I remember your 2 gorgeous little budgies. I can't believe they are both gone. My birds have gone on also I just want you to know that you couldn't have possibly given them a greater life and they were very lucky to have such a caring owner. Most people who aren't bird owners would say oh "it's just a bird" but we know they are so much more. At least you can have comfort in knowing he is no longer in pain and is reunited with his beautiful mate. My thoughts are with you
Emmer-Chan, that is such a comforting thing of you to say! I'm so glad you remember me and my two beautiful budgies, who have left this world. They have left me with three gorgeous babies who are roughly five years old, all female! You truly made me tear up, which is good, because it is hard for me to feel these emotions at this point in time.
I completely understand what you mean about people thinking, "it's just a bird"! Nobody understands how much of an impact they make on your life unless they have one or know someone that has a strong bond with their bird.
Thank you again for putting a tear in my eye and a smile on my face, as well as my other half who is also greatly impacted by Banana's loss.
I'm so sorry to hear this... I know how devastating it is to lose such a beloved little friend. You have my deepest sympathies.
Try to take comfort in the fact that Banana had a long and happy life with you and has left you his legacy through his 3 daughters. You provided him with the best care possible and all the love he deserved.
The hole left in your heart by his absence will soon be filled with all the happy memories of the good times you spent together.
Rest in peace, sweet Banana. You were much loved and will be missed.
RIP sweet Tito (Summer 2008 - January 17th 2013).
You are missed and never will be forgotten.
So very sorry to hear about the loss of your sweet Ban Ban. Know that you gave him the best of loving care, and that he couldn't have known a better home and heart than yours. Fly free, Banana and Peaches.
I too had tears for the loss of your banana, but they are tears of happiness as yours will be . You were so lucky to of had him share his life with you and peaches for so long. It is obvious you looked after them very well and you were rewarded by the lovely loving budgies you had. They will always be just a memory away now and yes you can cry, and we here all understand the pain you are feeling time will help but for now you need to grieve and slowly mend the hurt you are going through. They are both at Rainbow Bridge now no more pain FLy High and Free

Rest in Peace, sweet handsome Banana. Keep his cute face and happy song close to your heart, and he will be with you forever. He and Peaches are together now, talking about all the good times they had with you. The live on in their chicks. Hugs to you, Kristen. I am so sorry for your loss.
