On December 12,2013 we lost our precious little girl bird who never got a name. Neither mother nor I could ever agree what to call the little thing.
She was sold to us as a male and we named her Mr. Bird and remained that way until the day she laid her first egg. Needless to say, things changed.
Over her short 4 1/2 years she way the joy of our life. She talked, was trained to do so many tricks and she was ever so smart. But she apparently had been slowly grow a tumor and when it finally showed up externally, we knew we would loose our little girl.
She was so happy, active, playful and loving right up to the end, we had no clue she was ill. We will miss our precious little girl with no name. She was very loved and treasured. My heart is broken this Christmas
I'm so very sorry to hear this sad news...I know how hard it is to lose such a beloved little friend. You have my deepest sympathies.
The pain left by her absence may be hard to bare, especially this close to the festive holiday, but time will heal the pain left in your heart and soon you will be able to remember fondly all the memories of the good times you spent with your budgie girl. She will forever live in your heart.
Rest in peace, sweet budgie girl. You were much loved and will be missed.
RIP sweet Tito (Summer 2008 - January 17th 2013).
You are missed and never will be forgotten.
I'd love to have a "talking" budgie. The 4 I've had never talked, not in a way I could understand anyway. Your pain of loss will ease over time, but you will always have 4 1/2 years-worth of happy memories.
You won't be alone this Christmas. I lost my Blueky 2 days ago, so things won't be as joyfull as I'd hoped...but I'm determined to make the best of it.
You were vey lucky to have your wonderful girl for that amount of time, She sounds like a treasure and as with any treasure she was priceless to you and your mum. remember the good times and the funny things she did to bring a smile to your life once more maybe with time you can open your heart to another budgie Fly high and free little one and take your place amongst our flock up high.
