Giro was suffering from severe seizures and could no longer fly or walk even after the Vet gave him ******, the seizures came back and the Vet said he would most likely not recover so we had to make a tough decision... We put him to sleep last night. He was 12 years and 7 months old. He was the center of our home and he is missed. Now he's up there with his best buddy Nico. Miyuki
So sorry for your loss, but sounds like you made the right choice. What a blessing to have Giro in your family for so long. My parents' budgie, Sunny P. Boyd, died after having seizures many years ago.
It is with love and caring thoughts you made the decision you did and I am positive it was the right choice in this situation. It takes courage and the most caring owner to do this for their beloved budgie. Twelve wonderful years of memories how lovely to be able to recall so many wonderful times you shared with Giro. Fly high Giro and hugs and thoughts to you . time will enable you to say his name again with smiles instead of tears
I'm so sorry for your loss... It's really devastating to have to say the final goodbye to a much beloved little friend who has been part of the family for so long. You have my deepest sympathies.
Try to take comfort in the fact that you were blessed with Giro's company for over 12 years, and that in itself is quite the accomplishment. I'm sure your sweet boy appreciates all you have done for him and he knows he had a wonderful and happy life with you.
Rest in peace, Giro. You were much loved and will be missed.
RIP sweet Tito (Summer 2008 - January 17th 2013).
You are missed and never will be forgotten.

Rest in Peace, sweet handsome Giro. Keep his cute face and happy song close to your heart, and he will be with you forever. He and Nico are together again, talking about the wonderful lives they had with you, lives filled with love and good care. I am so sorry for your loss.
