Unhappy Good bye Rosie....

My days are just getting sadder and sadder. Today I was in the kitchen and I looked outside the window to see what Rosie was doing but she wasn't in her cage! I got so worried. I ran outside in the rain to look for her but she was gone. Her cage doors were closed but she wasn't in there! I looked around for an hour with no luck. Yet another pet thats gone. She was just about to turn one .

My first budgie Tom mysteriously escaped too. One minute he was there the next he was gone. We changed the cage so Rosie wouldn't escape too.

Then a couple of weeks ago Snowpea my precious budgie mysteriously died. Rosie was all alone. And now Rosie has disappeared. I just don't understand how this could happen to me THREE TIMES.

Lucky I still have my puppy Max to comfort me. Of course I shall continue on the forums. Just without my birds.

Check the cage really carefully,
maybe she squeeze through the bars!
Dont give up hope!!!
She could come back!
Is it possible someone
would want to steal her?
*shrugs*

:O So sorry to hear that Budgietom!

I can't believe two disappeared in the same manner! I have to admit I had the same thought as LadyBlue - it's too weird. I mean, people steal garden hoses, plants and a front door mat from our house

Did your birds know how to open their cage doors?

Angry Awful

I am so sorry to hear this
This is just too much. I have to agree with the others that there is some kind of foul play involved
I hope you find out what happened. Three times is just too much to be a coincidence.

I'm sorry to hear this sad tale. Budgies just don't disappear! I hope that some day you will know the answer to what has happen to your budgies. Until you can solve the problem of what happens to the budgies, I wouldn't bring home any more budgies.

Really sorry to hear. I'm not sure how she managed to get out and in the rain at that. Is it possible someone took her?

I know it may be the wrong time to mention this but Rosie was alot older then one by her iris ring.

Maybe this is the fact?
Or maybe she found another way out.
I've known horses who have known how to open even the most complex
stall doors,
and dogs in kennels who can open the doors.
When i had Fluffy still,
when she was having her babies...
I had separated her and the Mister so she wouldnt
have a third batch(the first two were wanted...),
but i soon learned that the mister had learned how to get out of
his cage without any trace of it whatsoever.
I only learned this becaus ei came home early one day
and they were sleeping together(thats when idecided to have the Mister fixed).

I mean,
either they were both REALLY cleaver birds and had learned a way to get out
without any signs..
Or somethings going on.
What i would do... Is set up a cage you know for sure a bird cant get out of...
And set it up in the same place and just watch.

It seems all to odd!
