How ironic it happened on valentines day as Melo was one of the things I well and truly loved, woke up today to see his whiskers and chest all wet. He was fine the yesterday and working from home I see them the majority of the day everyday and there were no lead up signs days/weeks/months ago.
I don't know what or how and why this has happened, I have to pick up his body from the vet now and bury him right outside the window where the cage is.
I will never forget the way he made me smile everyday, only had him for 3 and a half years but was so satisfying seeing his face everyday.
Only one budgie left now, I am alone again ...
I'm very, very sorry for the loss of your sweet little Melo. It's so strange that he showed no signs of being ill. Three and a half years seems like such a short time for him to have lived, compared to some people who have their budgies for eight and nine and ten years.
Deepest condolences to you and Melo. Its very heartbreaking to lose such a beautiful bird. Please feel free to share more photos in his memory.

I just buried him right outside his favourite window spot. I was in tears, I will never see his cute face ever again.
They enrich our lives yet break our hearts....
I am so sorry for you and his friend, please look after each other at this time and the smiles will come back when you bring a loving thought or memory back of him . Fly high Mello.
