It's 7 years ago today my buddy Squawk died and it was a horrible day after having im for 6 years. He was a great pal I liked to think that he was my son as I spoke to him every single day and I think he enjoyed my company by going up my arm and perching on my shoulder. I can still remember that day 12th April 2001 I noticed he looked abit rough feathers all ruffled up, We were going on holiday the next day and I went into town and went to my Grandparents when I came home I noticed his cage was missing and my Mum and Dad told me they found him dead on the floor of the cage they took me to the garden next to the tree were a little white stone was lying there in which they buried him under. They said "we'll get you a new pet" and I just said " I don't want a new pet" and cried and cried for the whole night. I still havn't bought a new pet. His stone is still outside. As a tribute I made this the same as my avatar it's not him but he looked the same.
I miss you son

So sorry about Squawk....I can't even think about losing mine. Have you thought about getting another one? You sound like a very caring owner and I'm sure there's many budgies out there who need one just like you.
I'm so sorry. I know how much it hurts to lose a pet. You should get another one if you can. Almost everyone feels like they don't want another pet when they lost one, but you know what? You end up falling just as much in love with the new pet as you did the first one. It's really true. No pet can ever replace Squak because he was one of a kind and you had a special bond with him. But it's okay to get another pet.
