Buddy's buddy is on a distinguished road
Default Flying Free (literally)

its all my fault. It was finally i warm day at my house so I toke Buddy in his cage outside. I hung it in our porch and sat there for awhile. I was just gone around the house for maybe five minutes and i heard a crash. I ran around to the porch to see my cat running from that area. i ran up on the porch and saw the cage on the ground. I then heard Buddy chirping in a nearby tree. I found where he was and then I climbed the tree to try and get him. I was two metres away from him when he flew away.... he went into another tree that i couldn't climb. I stood there for an hour and then he flew away and i couldn't locate him..... its all my fault fly free Buddy

Don't give up.
This happened to me too. I put an ad in the paper...and phoned the humane society.
Two days later, somebody turned my bird over to the humane society. He was 5 years at the time and lived another 10 years.
So, please try to find him.....

Sigrid

PS: I don't take the cage outside any more

we've had his cage out it happened like a week ago. I don't think he'll come back cause i live 1/2 hour down a forested road with hardly no neighbours. I live 1 1/2 away from the closest town. I've left budgie food in a feeder.

My Snoopy was outside for weeks, flying with sparrows, eating at bird feeders, before she was caught... There is always hope.

Keep your chin up and stay positive! Hopefully he's not far off and will come back. In the meantime, as other suggested, get your contact info out and around and a description of buddy so that if he's found he can be returned to you! I'd be making periodic calls into vets and any shelters just to keep your name on their minds!

I am so so sorry this happened. DON'T GIVE UP! Do everything you can. Take everybody's suggestions...cage outside...call for him...put up posters...check everywhere you can think of.
I do hope with all my heart that he comes back.
