Default My little Blue

My little Budgie Blue died suddenly on Thursday. I dont know what happened. He was perfectly all right Playing with his favorite toys Chirping singing talking ,eating and drinking normally. I went in the other room and when i came back and looked in on him i could not see him on any of his perches. He was lying at the bottom of his cage dead.I am in complete shock and broken heated. I took him out of his cage and looked at him. There was no blood or anything else on him I just dont know what could have caused it so suddenly.I am heartbroken. I miss him so much . The love i got from him his funny little ways The trust he had in me. The house seems so quite without him. I had him in the living room with me. So he was with me all the time. How will i ever get over losing my little Blue? I loved him so much. He will always be in my heart. Can anyone explain what might have happened.I am in tears as i am writing this.:

Marya,

I'm very sorry for your loss of little Blue.

Unfortunately, just like people or other animals, budgies sometimes have a heart-attack or a stroke and end up dying very quickly and unexpectedly.

There is no way to know for sure what caused his death unless you have an Avian Vet perform a necropsy.
It is because of Love we Grieve
and
Because of Love we are also comforted
in our Sorrow

In Memories, may you find Healing
In Time, may you find Peace
In the Power of Love, may you find Comfort.

Fly High and Free little one -- Rest In Peace, sweet Blue

Im so sorry for your loss. Its so hard to stay positive during such times but remember what a wonderful happy life your boy had and cherish the time you had together. I hope he is playing happily in the sky with his other birdie friends, keeping an eye on his mummy from above x

I'm so sorry for the very unexpected loss of your budgie... I know it's not easy to say goodbye to a much beloved little friend and it is especially hard when they leave us so abruptly. You have my deepest sympathies.
With time the pain you are feeling will lessen and the hole left in your heart will be filled by the memories of the good times you had with your Blue.

Rest in peace, Blue. You were much loved and will be missed.

Maybe, when you feel your heart has healed you may consider to welcome another little budgie to brighten your days.

I am so terribly sorry for your loss. It must be very quiet in your home, I have experienced one of my babies having to go to the rainbow Bridge for us it hurts for them it is a good ending. No more pain or sadness. He is flying high with the flock now. In time you will be able to smile once more when his name comes to you, tears are a healing tool take care.

I just lost my bird and I know how it hurts. Parrots bring such joy.

Default Little Blue.

Thank you for your kind post. I am sorry for the loss of your little bird. Blue died last Thusday. I am so upset . I cant get over one minuite he was chattering and singing. Then i go back into him and cant see him on any of his perches. I was scared to look down. But he was on the floor of his cage dead. I was in complete shock. He would have been three in March. Its how sudden it was. I feel so heatbroken. I loved him to bits and he loved me too. Can i send you this poem that comforts me a little bit.

l lend you, for a little while, a bird of mine,” He said.
“For you to love while he lives, and mourn when he is dead.

It may be six or seven years, or maybe twenty-three,
But will you, till I call him back, take care of him for me?

He’ll bring his charms to gladden you, and shall his stay be brief,
You’ll have his lovely memories as solace for your grief.

I cannot promise he will stay, as all from Earth return,
But there are lessons taught down there I want this bird to learn.

I’ve looked the whole world over in my search for teachers true,
And from the throngs that crowd life’s lanes, I have selected you.

Now will you give him all your love – not think this labor vain,
Nor hate me when I come to call, to take him back again.

I fancied that I heard them say, ‘Dear Lord, thy will be done.’
For all the joy this bird shall bring, the risk of grief we’ll run.

We’ll shower him with tenderness and love while we may,
And for the happiness we’ve known, forever grateful stay.

And should the angels call for him much sooner than we planned,
We’ll brave the bitter grief that comes, and try to understand.”

If, by your love, you’ve managed, my wishes to achieve,
In memory of him you’ve loved; be thankful; do not grieve.

Cherish every moment of your feathered charge.
He filled your home with songs of joy the time he was alive.
Let not his passing take from you those memories to enjoy.

“I will lend to you, a Bird”, God said, and teach you all you have to do.
And when I call him back to heaven, you will know he loved you too

That beautiful poem has brought tears to my eyes. As responsible and loving pet owners, most of us have all have dealt with the loss of a beloved pet and we know how much it hurts when they go. And when we are blessed with a truly special soul that connects with us it's even more difficult.
I can say that when my time comes I won't be afraid and will be perfectly at ease and happy if in fact I get to be welcomed and surrounded by the love of all my "little specials" that have left me.
