I'm just back from the vets, it was the hardest thing in my life to take little Bobby and not come back with him chirping.
Honey is calling for him and I can't help but cry.
Bobby was 6 and had the best life, he was never Unwell, save a couple of crop iteritationd, fixed with a touch of ACV in the water. However he was being a little sick over the last couple of days, I tried the ACV thinking he was ok, till lunchtime when he looks fluffed and poorly. I booked the vets for this afternoon and left work early, however came home to him lying on the bottom of the cage. I thought I was too late. The vet exams him, his vent was blocked and as she cleaned he hardly budged, there was blood and she checked his mouth, she said his "gums" we're grey and he was desperatly underweight. There was nothing more she could do, and the best thing I could do was to help him go to sleep.
It happened so fast.it always does.
My hubby keeps asking why, he doesn't understand, and I don't really want the vet to do that exam this time.
Honey is nearly 9, I need to keep a close eye on her ( she's only just recovering from a very bad foot injury herself, I think she had an old lady fall)
I think she's too old for a new friend so I will see how she copes on her own.
I've not been here for a while but know that you guys will understand and care.
Fly high little Bobby - I love you xxx

Rest in Peace, sweet handsome Bobby. Keep his cute face and happy song close to your heart, and he will be with you forever. The most difficult decisions are made with the greatest love. Hugs to you, your husband and Honey. I am so sorry for your loss.
