Unhappy Together in Heaven

I used to have 6 budgies that all varied in age.I have 2 left, and they are quite old.All my budgies died when they were in double figures, all apart from one.He was 8 when his older, identical friend passed away. His name was Peter and his friend was called Alfie. They were always together so when Alfie died Peter hardly ate even after joining my other budgies. They had all lost Snowdrop years earlier and Joey a few years later but none of them stopped eating. The truth of the matter was Peter couldnt live without his best friend Alfie. It came as no suprise when Peter passed away a month after Alfie, but it was netherless very painful and tragic.Their was nothing I could do to mend his broken heart but sometimes I'm still racked with guilt.I like to think about all my long gone friends and more so recently when my African snail passed away.No matter where your pets are they will always be in you heart and mind.If they remain there, their spirits live on and they never really die.The best thing to do is move on slowly but never forget.Broaden your mind and pick up new hobbies to take your mind off greif.Think about the good times you shared with your pet. When my snail died I made a tribute page on my piczo that was dedicated to him.Its little things like that ,that pick up my spirits a little.God bless all the animals in heaven.

Your post is so true, and what you have said really reflects the sentiments of many pet owners. Thank you for sharing this post and may your lost budgies fly high, fly free and fly forever.

So very true. They've become so much a part of us and our lives that we can never forget them. Each of us has our own way of remembering our special friends.
Grief passes but the memories are in our hearts forever.
Thank you for sharing this with us.

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss I do like your optimistic attitude towards what happened, though. It is definitely better to broaden your mind so that you don't think about it the whole time, but it is also good to remember the good times

RIP little dotes xxx
