My Tears Won't Stop

i got up this morning as usual for work did all the usual things and then went into the back room to say good morning to my flock, i opened the door to see to my shock DODO lying dead in the middle of the carpet (he is never in his cage because he had french moult and couldn't fly ) i picked him up in shock and immediatly started crying (im a grown man but i loved him so much) i sat stunned for a few moments and then thought what will COS and Camo think seeing me with DODO in my hand like this so i looked at their cage and couldn't see them and to my horror they are both laid at the bottom of their cage also dead, iv'e lost all my friends in one evil swoop and im devastated and still crying while writing this.....my world has just caved in

and DODO + CAMO

the thing i need to know is why ? they were all fine last night singing and acting up as usual, the only thing i noticed this morning when i opened the door was a heavy damp smell in the air and i do have a damp wall in this room, could it be this ? please anyone

Gosh i've got no idea. If it is the damp wall, i may have to look out for my tiel, who is also quite near one. Was there any thunder last night? There have been a lot of birds die recently from shock.

I'm so sorry, what a tragedy. Your poor little ones. I hope you get some kind of explanation.

RIP little budgies.

If the wall is always damp, is there a possible mold problem?

im so sorry :(
it could be that . but if all 3 died the same night something must have happened :(

I'm so sorry for your losses:( R.I.P little birdies:(

I am so sorry:(

When all birds pass away at once that is cause for alarm. Humans can be in danger too. It could be carbon monoxide.
Did you do any cooking or baking with nonstick cookware? I read on another forum that birds died after a nonstick cookie sheet was used. Sometimes it is a raclette with nonstick surfaces.
I would consider having a necropsy done to make sure you are not at risk.

Once again, I am very sorry for your loss, this must be devestating:(

I am soo sorry for your loss! That must have been horrible to wake up to. I have no idea what could have caused their deaths, all on the same night. maybe a night fright?
you could do a necropsy to be sure.

again i am very sorry about your losses. Rest in peace little ones.

That's horrible. I'm so sorry! My first thought was Carbon Monoxide also. I'm terribly sorry, I hope you figure out the cause!
