Just to let you know that Prettygirl died. The Vent Tumour grew huge (size of a walnut) and she became very placid, wanting to be close to us. She allowed me to cuddle her inside my fluffy winter dressing gown for hours on end.
We did not think she would make it to the next morning, so when we went to bed, we placed her inside a cosy fluffy hat inside her cage and she was no longer with us in the morning. She has been layed to rest with our beautiful King Charles Cavalier dog Bandit - in the flower bed of the back garden.
We will not be replacing her at this time due to going on holidays and we'll think about a Cockateil on our return.
Thank you to those who gave advice regards her tumour - sadly none of it worked.
We miss her and her greeting upon arriving home and even her "agro" towards me - maybe the next bird will become my friend.
