Thank you all for your amazing words and support. We miss Honeydew so much. We had such an amazing experience taming and bonding with him, we'd love to try again with another little bird soon. Dewey's journey may be over, but we'll be back for the next one. We've truly appreciated all the help and interested you all had in our boy

Sorry to hear about your little buddy, had a similar experience not so long ago and its very scary at the time seeing them like that.
Hope your memories are of fun and song. Condolences from Span, Baxter and myself x

Aww I am so sorry :(. I leave the forums a few days and see this has happened... Even though I'd only seen pictures and heard his stories, i really was growing fond of Honeydew :/. At least he got to live his last days in a loving home <3

Your darling Dewey is much loved and you did all you could. Seizures are something that indicates a serious underlying health problem which, as Dewey was so young, he would not have been able to be cured of. You will always remember him and the love you feel will stay with you:budgie:

I'm so sorry to hear Dewey left this world. It's very difficult when this happens. Those little birds bring us so much joy, whether they are with us for a short time or a long time. Sending lost of positive thoughts your way :budgie:

That's such an awful experience but imagine the comfort that he was able to gather from you. His time with you was short but he clearly felt safe with you. In all the horribleness of the situation, I hope you can take away the comfort that you were able to give him.

Thank you all again for your kind words. I miss that little budgie boy everyday, and everyday I wonder what our bond would have been like now or how far we would have gotten in his training. Piper is only just starting to come around to us, but of course its not the same. I miss Dewey. I love our newest birds but I find myself holding back on getting caught up with them too soon just in case :crying2:

I know in my heart you're right. It's still so hard though knowing we couldn't help him. But as Therm said, we are just so happy he got the chance to be a happy singing budgie who liked getting kisses and attention. :budgie:

Oh no, I'm so sorry. That is very sad, as you were just getting to know Honeydew and falling in love with him :(. He knew how much he was loved.
