Yesterday I had to put my baby Joey to sleep. His beak had grown terribly long in what seems like just a week or so, and I took him and my whole flock tto my avisanvet for trims and check ups. I was totally not expecting to come home without my Joey. the vet immediately saw a swelling in his abdomen that I hadn't seen and told me she suspected a tumor/fatty liver disease. I was in total shock. She took him out and showed me the mass and also a fluid sac over the mass. She said he was having trouble breathing, but he never showed any siugns of being sick, just very slight tailbobbing. I had to make a heart wrenching decision right then and I didn't want him to suffer, I let him go. He went to sleep and I believe he woke up in Heaven with his Creator. You will always be with me Joey, until we meet again, soar with the angels little one. Your brothers and i miss you terribly. I love you.

Rest in Peace, sweet handsome Joey. Keep his cute face and happy song close to your heart, and he will be with you forever. The most difficult decisions are made with the greatest love. Heaven is even brighter now that the angel Joey is there. Sleep well, little boy. I am so sorry for your loss.
Oh no, Diane I'm so sorry to hear this... You have my deepest sympathies over the loss of your Joey. I know how difficult and heartbreaking it is to reach that decision. Your boy is no longer suffering now and is flying free with the big flock on rainbow bridge.
The precious memories you have of your boy will always be with you and Joey will continue to live on in your heart.
Rest in peace, Joey. You were much loved and will be missed.
RIP sweet Tito (Summer 2008 - January 17th 2013).
You are missed and never will be forgotten.
Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay...
Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the lord
