March 2010 - May 28th, 2016
It's with a very heavy heart that I share the news of my Carioca's departure.
He has been struggling with the advances of a fast growing tumour and today was the day he left me. I was with him every step of the way, he had a peaceful passing and he is now resting next to the love of his life, Mona.
Carioca was a little heaven-sent angel who came to me on June 23rd, 2010.
He was a lost stray baby bird who was lured by the singing of my other budgies. I rescued him and since no one claimed the little green bird, he became a permanent member of the flock.
He was a very passionate boy and one of my most enthusiastic singers.
I see the same passion and energy on his son, Luigi and the love for singing loud from his daughter, Peppy.
I am forever grateful for the joy Carioca has brought to my life and for the beautiful chicks he and Mona have given me. Their legacy will live on.
Little Carioca on the left on the first days after quarantine and meeting with Tito. He still had some of his barring on the forehead.
Grown up Carioca
Rest in peace, my gorgeous green birdie Carioca. We will always miss you.
