Default my lost candy

HI ,
This post is for my budgie who died today in the evening. she was alone since one month when her partner died due to illness. But today she died may be to due to cold or something else although it is not too much cold here but a little change in weather .
Two days back me and budgie went to a pet shop to buy her new partner in evening may be due to travelling she catched a cold . my mom told me this. candy had cold so i put her cage in warm sunlight in daytime and in night i had covered it with blanket . candy was breathing fast from normal . I had never imagined that problem will go so severe . Even candy welcomed her new mate , i named his new mate FAIRY . In evening when her cage was placed in sunlight candy was little weak and was sitting in a corner of cage but she was having is food and water and even she was playing with fairy , when i went close to the cage i sawed candy was hanging through the cage with help of her beak and tried to fly with his all power and then she collapsed and died . Truly speaking i saw this accident in front of my eyes it made my heart to skip for a second . If i know it earlier that cold in budgies can be a life threatening then i should taken some step earlier but i loved my candy i miss how she used to bite hands when we try to touch her.

I'm very sorry for your budgie's passing...
Rest in peace, Candy.

It really wasn't a good idea to take your budgie to the pet store, because while in there she may have caught an illness from the other birds, she could also already have been ill since her previous mate had recently passed away.
In case you don't know, when getting a new budgie, quarantine measures should be implemented in order to avoid the potential spread of illness the new bird could be carrying.
For detailed information, check this link: https://talkbudgies.com/new-budgie-ar...necessary.html

Whether your budgie got sick from a cold or something else, when a pet shows signs of being ill, the best course of action is to seek medical care from a vet, in this case, an avian vet professional for an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan.
Given the circumstances, it would be best to have your remaining budgie, Fairy examined by an avian vet. The cage and all toys/accessories should also be thoroughly washed and disinfected.

Despite the very sad circumstances, welcome to the forums.

So Sorry forbyour loss. Restin Peace Candy. Candy is now a special Angel watching over you and your flock. I hope you and Fairy devellop a very special bond and that Fairy helps you as you grieve for Candy. if you can it might be a good idea to call in and make sn appointment with an Avian Vet and tell the vet about the first Budgie who died and then about Candy and how she died and the Vet may very well prescribe something for Fairy to help Fairy build up her immune system and stay well. Welcome to the forum and once again so sorry for your loss
