No clue why, but Goldie died yesterday around maybe 7 or 8 pm. She'd been sick since Friday, and we couldn't get her to the vet in time. The only avian vet that I know was out until Monday, and that's basically when we knew she wasn't gonna make it through the weekend.
She'd been sleeping a lot, not eating, inactive, her voice was really quiet, and she looked sick. Her face color was just pale to me. My mom was going to feed her but she wouldn't eat, and she said that she wasn't acting right, so I just brought her in the next room with me and she just kept closing her eyes. That was actually the point when I realized something was wrong. She'd been fine before Friday. Thursday, they were both quiet, but normally, they're quiet during the middle of the day. Friday night, we tried to feed her again, but she ended up spitting the food up a few minutes later.
I'm gonna try to get the other four in to make sure they're okay. I don't have the slightest idea what happened, but they're not showing any of the symptoms she had. Smokey is just as loud as ever, but I'm not gonna take chances of them being sick too.
