I'm sad to report I lost Berty and Chester today due to a fire in the building across from where I live, windows where open a little as it was nice and warm outside, but that's also what let the smoke in, the wind was just wrong I guess
I was out when it started and came home to firetrucks etc. across the street.
Rushed in and found Berty and Chester lifeless on the bottom of the cage and the rest of the flock in pretty bad shape.
I collected the four and rushed to my vets after calling them to make sure they could see them, as it's Christmas and all, where they got examined and taken care of and are staying for the night. (they just called me to let me know they are all sound asleep now after eating/drinking and chatting up a storm)
Thanks for the support!
So quiet this morning with no one chirping in the living room.
Anyways, it is what it is, and everything has been washed, all the walls washed down etc.
The rest of the flock are staying at the vets until tomorrow so everything will smell normal again.
They are doing ok, Oliver is screaming out for Chester though, but that is to be expected as they where very close
I will have to see how things work out once they are back home and take it from there.
