Hi. You all must have seen me asking questions about my new two male budgies, but sadly, my oldest budgie has passed away. Last night, he was flying around while I was cooking and sadly fell into my dish. I usually let him fly in his own room with the door closed, but he found a hole and got through.
Rest in peace, Cheese.
It’s hard to hear that it happened in such a tragic manner that could have been prevented. Let this be a hard lesson to all reading.
*When we have birds out of their cage, we absolutely need to assess what we’re doing, and make sure they’re out of the way of danger. Always when cooking, or around open flame (or anything hot); put your budgies away first and ensure there is no way for them to escape. This is important even if their wings are clipped
