Default Ing has went over the Rainbow Bridge

Ing just passed away a couple of hours ago. I don’t understand everything was fine a few hours ago. He was singing and playing. I walked next door for about two hours and came in and checked on him and Ares and he was gone. I’m heartbroken. I did everything I possibly could to make sure he was happy and healthy: Only the best pellets fruits veggies and seeds, Ares so he never had to be alone, Plenty of toys and fun foraging. I really loved my tiny friend. He had the spunkiest and sweetest disposition. Ares is clearly heartbroken as well. He keeps going to where Ing was laying and sitting in front of the spot and staring at it. I gave him seeds and berries tonight to make sure he ate something. It’s his favorite. It was Ing’s too. I’m going to miss Ing so much. I can’t help but feel like I failed him. He had no signs of trauma so I know Ares didn’t do it. Him and Ing really loved each other. Thank you for having this place to honor his life.

I am so sorry for your loss. Don't beat yourself up. Sometimes birds just die. It sounds like you gave him a great life and were a wonderful budgie parent.

I am so sorry for your loss. You didnít fail Ing at all. You gave him a wonderful life, and a beautiful home where he always knew he was loved. Now you and Ares need to be there for each other during this difficult time. You are in my heart and my thoughts at this very difficult time.

Fly high and free over Rainbow Bridge sweet Ing.

I’m so sorry for your loss . You did all you could for Ing, and he had a good life. Some things are beyond our control unfortunately. I know it’s very shocking when it happens suddenly like that, and it’s hard.

I'm very sorry for your loss.
But, as the other users have said, you have no reason to feel guilty for his death, he definitely lived a beautiful life thanks to you, you did everything a good owner should do.

My thoughts are with you and Ares. Rest in peace, Ing.

If you weren't a good budgie parent, one would not care so much. But it sounds like you did everything right. I do think sometimes we are not supposed to know all the answers. We as humans can't deal with all the answers.
Remember the good memories with Ing. I am so very sorry for your loss.

Eric,
You did nothing wrong and you gave Ing a very good life.
It's always difficult when our darling little friends leave us so unexpectedly. I lost one of my birds in the same way this year and I know the devastation you are feeling.
Try to focus on the positive memories.
I know that Ing was much loved and will be sorely missed.
I'll lend you,
for a little while, a bird of mine, He said.
For you to love while he lives,
and mourn when he is dead.

It may be six or seven years, or maybe two or three
But will you, till I call him back, take care of him for me?
He'll bring his charms to gladden you, and shall his stay be brief,
You'll have his lovely memories as solace for your grief.
I cannot promise he will stay, as all from earth return,
But there are lessons taught down there I want this bird to learn.

I've looked the whole world over in my search for teachers true,
And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes, I have selected you.
Now will you give him all your love - not think this labor vain,
Nor hate me when I come to call, to take him back again.
I fancied that I heard them say, 'Dear Lord, thy will be done.'
For all the joy this bird shall bring, the risk of grief we'll run.
We'll shower him with tenderness and love him while we may,
And for the happiness we've known, forever grateful stay.

And should the angels call for him much sooner than we planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes, and try to understand.

Modified from poem by Edgar A. Guest

Fly high and soar freely darling Ing; rest peacefully now wee man.
