Iím so very sorry for your loss. He was a very handsome boy and was obviously very loved. He will live on forever in your memories and in your heart. Thinking of you and sending lots of love during this very difficult time.

Fly high and free over Rainbow Bridge sweet Kiwi.

I'm so so sorry that your beautiful Kiwi has passed on. :green:

He was beautiful and obviously very much loved; I know he knew how much throughout his life.

What a brave boy after fighting so hard against liver disease - now he can rest free of pain

My thoughts are with you during this difficult time

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss of Kiwi.
What a brave and wonderful little trooper he was during his battle with the disease.

Fly high and soar freely dear Kiwi; rest peacefully now wee man.

Thanks all for your kind words. Necropsy on Kiwi, liver cancer ! That's 2 birds in a month from the same thing , Georgie had a large liver tumor and was showing signs of trouble for only a couple of months, Kiwi was being treated for almost 2 years. I have another, Louie, who is also being treated for what is presumed fatty liver, the only symptom he shows is a beak that over grows and needs trimming quite often and his bloodwork showed a slight plasma discoloration. I have begun to wonder if there is something toxic in their surroundings that might have contributed to this, I have been over many details with the vet but nothing jumps out.

That is so sad especially knowing what good care you take of all your budgies.
I'd be inclined to think the problems are due to genetic problems.
