Default Goodbye my dearest Jack 2015-2020

Today i had to say the hardest goodbye to my feathered son as he passed away 10.30 am gmt +1. He won his battle to the mites but not on his tumor, what hurts me the most is that i am away visiting a loved one and knowing that i lost another. I even greeted him this morning and said im going back tonight but i know something is off, when i called my mother said that he was constantly chirping this morning as if searching for someone or his meal then after a while they found him at the bottom of the cage lifeless.

He was so special to me. When i knew that he was gone it felt like something pierced me and it hurts so much. He had a small body but strong spirit and got sick and got minor injury many times but he always came back. I haven't taught him anything like tricks instead he taught me how to give an unconditional love, this guy stole a good chunk in my heart. It will be a while to recover from this. It will be much more painful when i go back home tonight to bury him and give a proper goodbye Goodbye my dearest Jack 2015-2020-img_20200614_143549.jpg

I'm so sorry for your loss of darling Jack. He was a very handsome boy and obviously very well loved as well.

I completely understand what you're going through, and you're in my thoughts and prayers.

Hugs to you during this difficult time

Rest in peace, sweet Jack.

I'm so very sorry for your loss of Jack.
He was much loved and will be very sorely missed.
You did everything you could for him and I know he is at the Rainbow Bridge, in perfect health and playing happily now.
I'll lend you,
for a little while, a bird of mine, He said.
For you to love while he lives,
and mourn when he is dead.

It may be six or seven years, or maybe only three
But will you, till I call him back, take care of him for me?
He'll bring his charms to gladden you, and shall his stay be brief,
You'll have his lovely memories as solace for your grief.
I cannot promise he will stay, as all from earth return,
But there are lessons taught down there I want this bird to learn.

I've looked the whole world over in my search for teachers true,
And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes, I have selected you.
Now will you give him all your love - not think this labor vain,
Nor hate me when I come to call, to take him back again.
I fancied that I heard them say, 'Dear Lord, thy will be done.'
For all the joy this bird shall bring, the risk of grief we'll run.
We'll shower him with tenderness and love him while we may,
And for the happiness we've known, forever grateful stay.

And should the angels call for him much sooner than we planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes, and try to understand.

Modified from poem by Edgar A. Guest

Fly high and soar freely darling Jack; rest peacefully now we man.

Thank you guys, i said goodbye and buried him near my house under the small tree. I can't stop crying even my eyes hurts like hell now. My mother said that i won't get another for the moment as she and my brother also mourned for Jack being gone to us. I feel the same too. It is so awkward visiting the bird cage without him. He left my female budgie Jill and his 2 canaries. I let them see him for the last time and instinctively i saw her react like he was not moving anymore. My heart is filled with sorrow and grief, with time it will heal but i won't forget. As i didn't with all my previous pet companions.
