Unhappy I lost my"green bird"

OF COURSE IT JUST HAD TO HAPPEN ON THANKSGIVING.
I GOT UP AND FOUND MY "GREENBIRD" (nickname) ON THE BOTTOM OF THE CAGE FRI AM.
THE PROBLEM IS, ALONG WITH ALL THE SADDNESS IS:
I HAVE ANOTHER BUDGIE IN THAT CAGE THAT WAS LEFT ALL ALONE NOW, AFTER ? YEARS.

THESE BIRDS WERE GIVEN TO ME BY NEIGHBORS THAT MOVED TO CA. LAST AUGUST.

I HAVE NO IDEA HOW OLD EITHER IS (was), and neither of the birds were hand trained. VERY FEARFUL OF EVEN A HAND IN THE CAGE FOR CLEANING, ETC...

the "yellow bird" tweetiepie is so lonely, I think,

She is eating and drinking, but is used to cuddleing up with the other bird.

what should I do??
help...

I really don't want to go out and get a "younger" bird and another cage.
the 30 day wait and all that...
does anyone have any suggestions???
I really am so sas.
for both my "green"

and more so the bird left behind.

appreciate your comments, please.

THANKS IN ADVANCE,
A VERY SAD LIZZIE

I am so sorry for your loss. If you wanted to get another bird, you don't have to get a young one, you could check shelters or try to find someone who needs to find a new home for their bird. In the meantime, you will need to be more of a companion to the remaining bird. Spend more time, stay closer, talk more. Another alternative would be to find a new home for the yellow bird. It is up to you, but you don't have to make a decision immediately.

One of my Budgies passed away yesterday too He was bonded with another budgie in the cage, he is quite lonely, but now to other budgie is starting to eat a bit, and mix with the others slightly more again. But he still doesn't seem to comfortable. Im also looking for something to do. From what I've been told I should give him some time or buy another for him. But I have another 9 in the cage and hopefully he will build greater bonds with them. I feel sorry for you I know how it feels. R.I.P to Greenbird. I hope you can recover.

Please bear in mind that while it would be nice and preferable to have a friend but are not in a position to do so, it isn't absolutely necessary if you can provide enough social time with him/her. And it doesn't need to be 24/7.

I'm so sorry. I know how hard it is to lose a little one.
Tweetiepie is going through a mourning period. It's best to give her extra time and attention now as she is missing her friend. It's sad to see them lonely, I know.
Again I'm so sorry about little Greenbird.
Fly high and fly free little one.

Im so sorry to hear of your loss. RIP Greenbird. Hope Tweetie Pie is soon feeling better. I think given time a little friend would be good for her. Pay her lots of attention and talk to her more. Good luck. xxx
