Unhappy Goodbye my Evagelina..

Hello to all my TB friends and have a happy 2010!
Last week my little budgie Evagelina-Doudou opened her feeder and flew away.. Two days before I was about to take her to my house.. My mom lost her senses, she walked hours around neighborhood but nothing.. I am very disappointed.. I started to cry and scream but my husband said I should try to stay calm for grace of our baby (is growing in my belly). I am desperate.. I cannot believe it..

Oh dear I am very sorry Nikoletta! Have you tried putting the cage outside with lots of food in it?

Oh Nikoletta, I am so sorry. How long has it been? How is the weather where you are? Maybe you will get her back. Charlotte has a good idea about putting the cage outside. I hope you get her back.

So sorry to hear ...yes you do need to stay calm for your baby... good advise about putting a cage outside. Also put up posters if you can...call the animal shelters. Is she tame? She may go to somebody if she is.

I'm so sorry That must be so difficult. But don't give up hope-- there've been many success stories about budgies returning when they're hungry, or being returned after being found by other kind people!! Put his favorite food and some millet in a cage outside, put up fliers, do whatever you can-- and I hope she comes home soon!!

Thank you all my friends! The weather here is ok, but there's a lot of air.. The cage stills outside, with food and water. All that happened in my patternal house. My mom tried everything, but no news.. There are no shelter here, there's no love here for animals, unfortunately.. Mom informed around stores etc.. My only hope is that she went to another balcony, with other budgies (there are 2-3 families around with budgies). I will keep you updated..

Oh dear, I am so sorry. A couple of mine had figured out how to get through the feeders as well, but fortunately, our doors and windows have screens. I know the situation is not the same in Greece. I hope by some miracle you get her back.
