Oh gosh I'm so sorry you lost two? I wonder if there's something going on?

My previous Budgie was about 10-11 years old when he passed on.

I too join in my condolences and in the suggestion to check a bit further to see if there is an unknown factor affecting the birds. I also wonder sometimes about inbreeding that may be going on that we as companions are simply unable to know when a bird comes into our life. My cockatiel lived 28 years, and I know many budgies and other small birds that have well outlived even the normal range of posted ages. Only a necropsy will tell for sure, but losing a budgie, especially under the age of 5, doesn't seem likely to be of natural causes. Something like inbreeding can lead to genetic flaws that are not visible on the outside. And then there are environmental, diet and other considerations. It is just so hard to determine a cause sometimes. Again, I am sorry for your loss. I know how devastating it is to lose a bird.
