i dont think ive ever had a bird live 4 years i got her in August 8 and she died today

Oh no.i am so sorry.she was a very pretty budgie too.I think it depends on the health of the bird,diet,atmosphere,excersize and other attributes.

I agree with Spicky, you should get them checked out. Two budgies dying so close together, something must be wrong.

I'm so sorry for your loss I do agree that you should probably get your birds checked out by an avian vet though, two dying in such a short time is a very bad sign!

I am so sorry for your loss. If both of your birds showed the same symptoms and you can, it would be worthwhile to find out what happened.

The 10 to 15 years applies to healthy well bred budgies. Too many of the budgies available in the stores could come from bird mills or are inbred.

Cutie Pie, Olive, Budgie, Baby Boy, Star, Pepper, Ariel, Oscar, Charlie, Little One, Chiclet.
Cutie Pie, Olive, Ariel, Little One and Chiclet are children of Budgie and Oscar.
Budgie and Star left us in 2009. Pepper and Oscar left us this year, 2010. 2018 and all are gone. Ariel and Cutie Pie died this Feb and March. Both over 11 years old.
